The four-day Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2025 came to an end in Boao, Hainan on Monday afternoon.
Zhang Jun, Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia, said at the closing press conference of the annual conference that the participants, focusing on the theme of "Creating the Future of Asia in a changing world", discussed in depth the major challenges and pressing issues facing Asia and the world at present, actively explored solutions, and strengthened their confidence in unity and cooperation, overcoming difficulties and opening up the future.
Zhang Jun introduced that the annual meeting mainly reached five areas of consensus: firmly uphold multilateralism, in the great changes in the right direction, create a better future; Strengthen regional cooperation, promote regional economic integration, and seek mutual benefit and win-win results; Based on high-quality development, promote transformation and upgrading, and implement the Sustainable Development Goals; We will continue to pursue innovation-driven growth, combine application with governance, and explore greater impetus and space for growth. We should advocate dialogue and exchanges, enhance understanding and trust, and jointly address challenges.
The annual meeting focused on the four major directions of grasping the general trend, promoting growth, shaping the future and exploring the driving force, and held more than 50 activities, including the opening conference, high-end dialogue and sub-forum.
The parties agreed that the international community must work together in solidarity. The successful experience of China and Asia points us in the right direction. Multilateralism and international cooperation are essential to addressing global challenges. It is important to reaffirm multilateralism with the United Nations as the cornerstone and accelerate the implementation of the outcomes of future UN summits to ensure that the world stays on the right track.
