Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFAIR) in Xiamen on Monday.

He Lifeng pointed out that under the personal care and guidance of the Xi Jinping chairman, CIFIT, as an important platform for two-way investment to promote open cooperation, has been continuously upgraded in internationalization, specialization and branding. The development of CIFIT is a vivid portrayal of China's continued opening-up. On a new journey in the new era and to open up new prospects for Chinese-style modernization, we must adhere to the basic state policy of opening up, promote opening up and reform through reform, enhance our capacity for opening up through expanding international cooperation, and build a new system of an open economy at a higher level.

He Lifeng pointed out that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee made major strategic arrangements for further comprehensively deepening reform and promoting Chinese-style modernization. China will promote high-quality development, accelerate the development of new quality productive forces, further implement the strategy of innovation-driven development, support all-round innovation, and advance high-level opening-up. This will create a broader market space and create a better business environment for foreign enterprises. It is hoped that foreign-invested enterprises will act as practitioners participating in China's high-quality development, promoters of deepening friendship and cooperation between China and other countries in the world, promoters of telling the world about China's real reform and opening up, and seek more business opportunities and achieve better development in participating in the grand cause of Chinese-style modernization.
